Marvel NOW! - NYCC Edition!
So Marvel revealed new books this week so far at NYCC!!!
Secret Avengers, which well…actually didn’t see coming. The book is by Nick Spencer with art by Luke Ross and this book will become VERY different from it’s predecessor The team now is S.H.I.E.L.D’s very secret Ops team…so secret that their memories are erased after the mission is over (and of course this will come back to bit them later). The team consists of Maria Hill, Nick Fury Jr (whom is a field agent), Coulson, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk (whom is an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D now in his book), Taskmaster and the Winter Soldier (whom is not a member of the team). Coming out in February.
Guardians of the Galaxy! Which was no surprise after the fact that they are getting their own movie. Brian Michael Bendis and Steve Mcniven take care of this book in March (with a .01 issue in February). This team will take on the “threads that are too big for the Avengers” and aside from the regular team (Star-Lord, Drax, Gamorra, Groot and Rocket Racoon) they are joined by Iron-Man!
Nova, whom had a small spotlight during AvX. This book is tackle by Jeph Loeb with art by Ed McGuinness and is launching in February as well. Pretty much we will follow teenager Sam Alexander as he becomes the newest member of the Nova Corps in their safe keeping of the Universe.
