The Young Avengers are back!…sorta..
So the “Amateurs” teaser form last week was revealed by Marvel to be a new Young Avengers ongoing series.
Written by Kieron Gillen with art by Jamie McKelvie, this new book will be VERY different from the previous version of the Young Avengers. Gillen says that in this book Loki will bring together this team (calling back to the fact that he created the Avengers) even if the characters in the book don’t realize it. Also coming onto the book to back up with art is Mike Norton, whom says that the fighting scenes will have a very music video feel and the layouts will be different from other books.
Finally Gillen revealed the initial line-up: Kid Loki, Miss America Chavez, Noh-Varr (Marvel Boy), Wiccan, Hulkling and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop). Hulkling, Noh-Varr and Chavez will get re-designs.
